Text areas are useful when you need a "fill in the blank" option that may require a lot of typing.

Here is an example:
Color:
To create a text area do the following:
  1. Name the property (eg. Color).
  2. Select the property type Text Area.
  3. Edit your default text if desired.
  4. Click "Add Property".
